Funding for linking with Schools outside of the Ipswich Opportunity Area
17 December 2018
Ipswich Opportunity Area will fund senior leaders and teachers to visit schools and colleges that perform highly in terms of the attainment of disadvantaged pupils with the aim of stimulating long-running and mutually beneficial partnerships. They will expect your application to include at least two other schools or colleges from your area joining your planned visit. Costs for a maximum of three members of staff per school or college will be covered. They will also accept subsequent applications from schools accessing this fund to follow up with a reciprocal visit from their visited school.
To identify high performing schools with similar characteristics for visits you may find the Families of Schools Database helpful. This is a free EEF tool through which schools can identify other schools across England with similar pupil characteristics, based on the prior attainment of pupils, the percentage of pupils eligible for pupil premium, and the proportion of pupils with English as an additional language.

After your visit, you will be required to complete an evaluation form and logic model template before funding will be released. Payments will be made by BACS or your normal method from Suffolk County Council.
